The Utah Council of Teachers of English sponsors an annual conference each fall rich with professional development opportunities for English and Language Arts teachers. We bring in nationally recognized keynote speakers and invite local teachers to share their best practices in breakout sessions.
Our 2017 annual conference is currently scheduled for Friday, November 10 at the Jordan Commons Megaplex convention center in Sandy, UT. Our conference this year features two amazing keynote presenters; both will present a keynote address as well as a breakout sessions during the day. Jeff Anderson and Deborah Dean, nationally recognized writing instructors, will join us this year!
This all-day conference will also feature a full slate of breakout sessions for teachers of all grade levels, focused on engaging strategies for teaching writing and reading in the 21st century. Costs for attending this conference are $75 for full, individual registration (including lunch) and $40 for full-time students. And, as always, teachers can join together and receive a discount of six registrations for the price of five.
